PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly form a coating film on an image recording material while reducing the cost. SOLUTION: Plural nozzle holes 324 are formed at regular intervals along the longitudinal direction of a nozzle board 322, so that a nozzle column is constituted. Provided that (m) is a value within the range of 0.5<m<1. When the number of the nozzle column is defined as 2n, and also the carrying speed of the photosensitive material is defined as (v); water is sprayed in the cycle of <=Pb .2n/v.
