PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method using a toner stably having satisfactory electrostatic chargeability, environmental stability, flowability and caking resistance, not damaging a photoreceptor, etc., hardly causing image defects and giving high image quality. SOLUTION: An electrostatic latent image on a latent image holder is developed with a developer layer on a developer carrier, the resultant toner image is transferred to the top of a transfer body and the residual toner on the latent image holder is removed by cleaning. An org. beltlike photoreceptor is used as the latent image holder, a rubber blade is used in the cleaning process and a two-component developer consisting of a toner and a carrier is used as the developer. The toner is obtd. by adding a titanium compd. having a specific gravity of 2.8-3.6 produced by treating at least part of TiO(OH)2 with a silane compd. to toner particles contg. a bonding resin and a colorant and having 5-10μm wt. average particle diameter. |
