PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform a high reliable high density recording, by making a case have a semi-sealed structure having a vent with a filter and adopting the structure bringing an optical system close to an optical disk until an extent being in contact with it. SOLUTION: The cartridge contains the optical disk 6, the case 2 housing the optical disk 6, a lens mechanism 5, a shutter 3 protecting the lens mechanism 5, a rotary mechanism 9 for rotation holding the optical disk 6, a rotational torque transmission mechanism 12 provided on the rotary mechanism 9 and the vent 7 with the filter provided on a part of the case 2. The optical head performs tracking operation and seek operation in the radial direction of the optical disk 6 by a movement mechanism set upon an optical disk device. Although the lens mechanism 5 is nearly in contact with the optical disk 6, the matter that it collides with the optical disk 6 hardly occurs because it vibrates to become the state floating on the optical disk 6. |
