PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sealing structure which can attain good sealing of fuel gas, air or the like and maintain power generating performance well in a flat plate layered solid electrolyte fuel cell. SOLUTION: This solid electrolyte fuel cell is formed by layering fuel poles 14 on one surface of a solid electrolyte plate 12, and a unit cell 18 formed with aerial poles 16 and separators on the other surface alternately. Ceramic fiber 34 a little thicker than the solid electrolyte plate 12 is fitted at the outside periphery of the solid electrolyte plate 12, and it is positioned at the top and bottom surfaces of the ceramic fiber 34. Nickel foils 36a, 36b are fitted between the solid electrolyte plate 12 and the separator and crimped between the separator and the ceramic fiber 34. |
