PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device capable of catching a picture and printing it on a photosensitive sheet by providing a printer with a means for focusing a display area on the photosensitive sheet and a means for providing electronic communication between an electronic camera and the printer in the system consisting of the electronic camera and the printer. SOLUTION: This electronic camera has a display unit for electronically storing the picture of an object and displaying the stored picture, and includes a position adjusting means. The printer includes a means for receiving the photosensitive sheet 42 and a driving means for providing relative movement between the display area of the display unit and the sheet 42. Furthermore, the printer includes the optical means for focusing the display area on the sheet 42 and the means for providing the electronic communication between the electronic camera and the printer so that the printed area of the display unit is formed as the picture on the sheet 42. In the electronic camera, an active socket 20 and a passive socket 22 are additionally improved so that the printer is connected to the display unit.
