PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device where a photoreceptor drum is uniformly electrified so that its surface potential may be specified potential even when image forming operation is abnormally stopped in the midst of developing a high-density image as a color image forming device which is not equipped with a device only used for cleaning the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a means for detecting image density in the midst of developing and an abnormal stop detection means. In the case of detecting abnormal stop in the midst of developing, a means for removing residual toner on the photoreceptor drum 342 is operated so as to take the toner on the drum 342 in an electrifier 321. After changing the electrostatic characteristic of the toner, the toner is restored to the drum 342 again and recovered in a developing device 345. Next, when the image density at the time of abnormally stopping is equal to or above a specified threshold, processing for discharging the toner taken in the electrifier 321 is performed. |
