Apparatus and methods for generating, administering, extracting and recovering sterilant gas for sterilizing and/or decontaminating enclosed spaces sucha as, for example, interior spaces of microbial isolators, and also to components associated with such apparatus and methos. Specifically contemplated herein, inter alia, is an arrangement for determining the concentration of a given component of fluid or gas, including an arrangement, responsive to an arrangement for sensing the intesity of radiation emitted by an emitter, for providing a correcting feedback to the emitter. This determining arrangement may conceivably be utilized in contexts other than contexts of apparatus and methods for generating, administering, extracting and recovering sterilant gas for sterilizing and/or decontaminating enclosend spaces.
