Face masks

Face mask for the administration of anaesthetics or oxygen. The mask includes a first tubular connector (4) through which anaesthetic gases can be supplied to the mask when used in anaesthesia. A second tubular connector (8) of smaller diameter is mounted co-axially within the first such that, alternatively, oxygen can be supplied to the mask through the second connector. The second connector is supported from the first by radial fins (9) and an annular passage (10) is formed between the first and second connectors to admit atmospheric air into the mask when used to supply oxygen and allow passage of expired gases to atmosphere. The two connectors (4 and 8) may conveniently be formed as a single moulding.
