A strip for fitting to the flange (12) around the edge of a door or similar opening in a motor vehicle body has a channel-shaped gripping portion (14) supporting a tubular sealing portion (20) on the outside of the door opening and onto which the door sealingly closes. On the outside of the door opening, a cosmetic lip (30) integrally extends and is curved-over to form a concave surface for embracingly receiving and gripping the edge of the trim panel (32). A cloth or textile covering (34) extends over the outside surface of the gripping portion and the cosmetic lip. The covering (34) is arranged with at least two integral portions of differing appearance arranged end to end, longitudinally of the strip (34A, 34B). The difference in appearance may take the form of different colours and/or different patterns. |
