A sealing member (2) for sealing a movable element and its method of production is disclosed. The sealing member comprises a resiliently flexible portion (6), a relatively rigid body portion (4) having an upper portion and a lower portion, and an outwardly protruding stabilizer portion (44). The stabilizer portion (44) is integral with and formed from at least a part of the body portion (4), is positioned between the upper and lower portions of the body portion and prevents lateral movement of the element when in use.
