Method and device for airing SO2 in absorber outlets from cool water channels for power plants where the tide influences the water level in the cooling water channels, utilizing centrifugal fans, preferably having narrow vanes and backwardly bent buckets to press air through airing discs (1) at the bottom of the channels, whereby the characteristics of the centrifugal fans arc is chosen in relation to the counter pressure from the changing water level in the channel in such a way that the quality of the airing process may be maintained at all conditions.
