<p>A disc apparatus comprises; a supporting member (33) for supporting a central portion of an inserted disc; a chassis (31) having mounted thereon an optical head (34) opposing the disc supported on the supporting member; and driving means (M) for moving the optical disc in a radius direction of the disc, wherein the chassis is freely rotatable about an outer peripheral side of the disc in a disc supporting direction and in a support releasing direction and includes control means for controlling the driving means such that the optical head is evacuated to the outer periphery side of the disc when the chassis is rotated in the support releasing direction and controlling the driving means such that the optical disc is moved in the center side of the disc when the chassis is rotated in the disc supporting direction and the disc is supported by the supporting member. <IMAGE></p> |
