<p>The hopper has two lengthwise walls (10,11) set at an angle and connected by a rounded base (12), and two end walls (13,14) forming an inner chamber (1) containing a dispensing auger (2) close to its base for discharging the products through an outlet (130) in one end. The hopper has two cylindrical shafts (3,4) which lie parallel to the dispensing auger, at an equal distance from it and close to the lengthwise walls. Each of the shafts carries two rows (31,32;41,42) of blades (33,43) for mixing the feed ingredients, set in spiral lines along the shafts. The dispensing auger is in the form of an Archimedes screw or truncated screw and has two opposite rows of blades (20,21) made from segments of two spirals.</p> |
