<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scavenge dust or a harmful gas from air and humidify this air by atomizing water to the air containing the dust and the harmful gas. SOLUTION: When an air A containing dust is drawn into a water spray chamber 12, the dust runs into an atomized water from nozzles 20 arranged in a reversed direction to the flow of the air A and is partially captured by a first washer medium 32 provided on the upstream side of the nozzles 20. In addition, the rest of the dust is partially moved along the flow of the air A and then is captured by a second washer medium 34 provided on the downstream side of the nozzles 20. In this case, the atomized water captured by the first and the second washer media 32, 34 comes into contact with the air A drawn into the water spray chamber 12 to be evaporated so that the air A is humidified. Further, a harmful gas contained in the air A is scavenged from the air A in the same process as for humidification, and then is uptaken by condensed water generated by a cooling coil 38. Thus, it is possible to efficiently humidify the air A and scavenge the harmful gas. Besides, it is possible to further increase the scavenging efficiency of the gas contained in the air A with the help of the cooling coil 38.</p> |
