PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart antimelting properties excellent in performances to a synthetic fiber fabric without deteriorating the touch feeling thereof by adding a small amount of a silane coupling agent to an antimelting finish agent, applying the prepared mixture to the synthetic fiber fabric and heat-treating the resultant fabric. SOLUTION: A mixture obtained by mixing a silane coupling agent in an amount of 1.0-5.0wt.% based on an antimelting finish agent with an antimelting finish agent (a cross-linkable silicone resin, a cross-linkable acrylic resin, a melamine derivative, etc.) is applied to a synthetic fiber fabric and the resultant fabric is then heat treated. The cross-linkable antimelting finish agent is formed into a firm film by coupling actions of the silane coupling agent and high-levels of antimelting performances can be imparted thereto without deteriorating the touch feeling. The method is useful even in applications of clothes. |
