PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-dolutive self-cross-linking coating compsn. having an excellent solvent resistance, a short drying time, and an improve adhesiveness. SOLUTION: The compsn., such as a paint, contains noor extremely low levels of volatile org. compds, and comprises water (1), a resin (2) comprising repeating units derived from about 30wt.% to about 75wt.% arom. vinyl mponomers (a), about 20wt.% to about 65wt.% alkyl acrylate monomers (b), about 1wt.% to about 8wt.% alkyl propenoic acid monomers (c), and about 0.5wt.% to about 5wt.% acryloyloxyalkenyltrialkoxysilane monomers (d), a wetting agent (3), and a defoamer (4). |
