PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a leaf surface spray agent by which the harvest and quality (taste) of rice can be improved through a simple method to be operated in the latter half of ripening of rice, especially, just before harvesting by mixing fructose containing saccharides in edible vinegar. SOLUTION: The fructose containing saccharide such as crystallized fructose or isomerized liquid sugar is mixed into the edible vinegar such as brewed vinegar e.g. spirit vinegar, synthetic vinegar or aqueous solution of acetic acid. In this case, it is preferable that the ratio of fructose containing saccharide to be mixed into the edible vinegar is less than 50wt.% and, besides, it is preferable that the ripening cultivation of rice is performed by spraying the above leaf surface spray agent in the latter half of ripening period. |
