<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality in the operation of a current detecting part for detecting motor-current even during the travelling of a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a state where the deviation 27a of a target current IT from a motor-current IM detected by a current detecting part 26 exceeds a thrshold value, is continued for a specified time, the first judging part 31 outputs a first judging signal 31a. A forced driving control part 32 supplies a forced driving control signal 32b to a PWM signal generating part 36 through a switching part 37 to forcedly change the current supplied to an electric motor. When the fact that the motor-current is forcedly changed, is detected by a forced driving periodic signal 32a, and when the current IM detected at that time is not changed and the amount of the change is small to the extent that it can be judged to be detected current abnormality, a failure judging part 33 supplies a stopping command 33a to the PWM signal generating part 36 to stop the operation of the electric motor 10, and displays the abnormality on a display device 34.</p> |
