PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cosmetic and a toilet lotion, excellent in touch and having sterilizing effects without causing skin roughening by adding an alkali to an acidic aqueous solution containing two specific kinds of ions, regulating the pH within a specific range and formulating the resultant sterilizing aqueous solution therein. SOLUTION: The cosmetic and toilet lotion are prepared by adding an alkali to an acidic aqueous solution containing iodide ions and manganese ions, regulating the pH to 2.5-7.0 and including the resultant sterilizing aqueous solution therein. The iodide ions and the manganese ions are preferably formulated at (10:1) to (1:30) ratio. The acidic aqueous solution containing the iodide ions and manganese ions is obtained by dissolving, e.g. a compound dissociating into the iodide ions in the aqueous solution and a compound dissociating the manganese ions in the aqueous solution in an acid liquid prepared by adding an acid to water. Manganese sulfate and manganese chloride are preferred as the manganese ions and an alkali metallic iodide is preferred as the iodide ions. |
