PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect a positive sealing without using an additional inserting layer irrespective of model and size by surrounding completely a shoe sole by disposing a seal member in an area between a shoe mold and a side portion of the mold in a state in which the mold side portion is closed. SOLUTION: An upper edge portion 5 of side portions 2, 3 of a mold protrudes inwardly so as to function as a seal edge portion when it brought into abutment with a seal surface provided on a shoe sole 7, which constitutes an upper limit of a mold hollow portion 6 formed by the mold side portions 2, 3 and a bottom plunger 4. The upper edge portion 5 as the seal edge portion for the mold side portion 2 is tightly secured to the surface of a string 8 extending along the contour of the shoe mold 7 so as to force a U-shaped leg 13 outwardly of a seal ring 11 into a groove 10, while within an area between the strings 8, 8 a seal lip 14 is pushed back in the groove 10 direction by the upper edge portion 5 of the mold side portion 2 until a gap between between the mold side portion 2 and the shoe mold 7 is positively sealed is effected by the resilient seal ring 11. |
