PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ink fixing properties and its water resistance by forming an undercoat layer with a mixture of a specific vinyl monomer copolymer with polyvinyl alcohol, respectively, and forming an upper coating layer obtained by the graft polymerization of a plurality of specific vinyl monomers in a mixed solution of an aqueous urethane resin and this polyvinyl alcohol. SOLUTION: An undercoat layer is a coating layer comprising the mixture of a copolymer of 10-100wt.% of a radical polymerizable vinyl monomer having a cationic quaternary ammonium base in a side chain and 90-0wt.% of other copolymerizable vinyl monomer with polyvinyl alcohol whose degree of saponification is 75-100% and whose degree of polymerization is 500-5000. An upper coat layer is a coating layer obtained by the graft polymerization of 100-60wt.% of a hydrophilic, radical polymerizable vinyl monomer with 0-40wt.% of other copolymerizable vinyl monomers in a mixed solution of an aqueous urethane resin and polyvinyl alcohol whose degree of saponification is 75-100% and whose degree of polymerization is 500-5000. This two-layer structure is favorable for the coating layers. |
