<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in resistance to shampoo, by formulating a medium suitable for dyeing with a specific oxidative base, a prescribed correcting agent, a specified cationic direct dye and an oxidizing agent. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a medium suitable for dyeing, (B) an oxidative base which is a p-phenylenediamine, a bis(phenyl) alkylenediamine, etc., (C) a correcting agent which is a m-phenylenediamine (its acid addition salt), (D) a cationic direct dye composed of a compound of formula I [R<1> is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R<2> is a (1-4C alkyl-substituted nitrogen- containing and/or oxidized) heterocyclic, etc.; R<3> and R<4> are each H, a halogen such as Cl, etc.; X<-> is an anion such as chloride, acetate, etc.; B is a group of formula II to formula V (R<5> is a 1-4C alkyl), etc.] and (E) an oxidizing agent and is useful for oxidatively dyeing a keratin fiber, especially human hair.</p> |
