PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a screw mechanism from being locked to prevent the malfunction of a brake actuator even when the fluid pressure is produced by a master cylinder when the operation of the brake actuator is released. SOLUTION: In a brake system 1 where a brake actuator 6 for producing the fluid pressure in response to a command from outside to supply the fluid pressure to a wheel cylinder 8 is provided between a master cylinder 3 and the wheel cylinder 8, an interrupting mechanism 37 for preventing the flow of working fluid flowing from the master cylinder 3 to a fluid pressure chamber of the brake actuator 6 in response to the operation of the brake actuator 6, is provided. Thus, when the operation of the brake actuator 6 is released, the fluid pressure produced by the master cylinder 3 is prevented from acting on the fluid pressure chamber of the brake actuator 6 to lock a screw mechanism, and thereby the malfunction of the brake system 1 is prevented. |
