PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inhibitor for the occurrence of disease, capable of suppressing the occurrence of Fusalium wilt of tomato which is a soil infectious disease damage of tomato, useful for environment retention type agriculture, comprising a specific bacterium as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This inhibitor comprises Pseudomonas putida AP-1 (FERM P-15,828) obtained by separating and selecting a bacterium of Pseudomonas showing antagonism against Fusalium wilt from a tomato rooting zone or streptomycin component-resistant variant AP-1S1 (FERM P-16,030) or rifampicin- resistant variant AP-1R1 (FERM P-16,031) or streptomycin/rifampicin-resistant variant AP-1SR1 (FERM P-16,032), which is a variant of the Pseudomonas putida, as an active ingredient. The inhibitor can grow tomato soundly and raise yield. |
