PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce clogging markedly and lengthen the life of a head by containing specified pigments in a thermal transfer recording material that is guided to a transfer section having a porous structure by a capillary phenomenon, vaporized by heating, and moved to an object of transfer facing the transfer section. SOLUTION: A printer head as a transfer section having a porous structure, contacts a photographic paper 12 as an object of transfer at one end 2a of a base and is held at a prescribed angle with the photographic paper 12. And then a thermal transfer recording material containing pigments expressed by the formula is guided by a capillary phenomenon to the printer head, vaporized or turned into droplets by heating, and moved to the photographic paper 12 facing the printer head.
