<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to improve maintainability and durability and reduce cost, in an exhaust emission control device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A closed type water reservoir 10 is provided. An inlet pipe 11 is inserted in liquid in the water reservoir, and an outlet pipe 12 is arranged at a part above a liquid level in the water reservoir. Further, the other end of an engine outlet pipe 22 is connected to the exhaust port of an engine and exhaust gas is introduced in liquid in the water reservoir. After noxious gas is absorbed by liquid, purified air is discharged through the outlet pipe 12 of the water reservoir to the outside. A vacuum pump 40 is located between an engine outlet pipe and the inlet pipe of the water reservoir, and exhaust gas is forcibly introduced in a liquid layer slightly deeper than a liquid level in the water reservoir. Further, a water cooling system consisting of an auxiliary water reservoir having radiation fins cooled by a fan is disposed in a closed type water reservoir, liquid in a closed type water reservoir is relatively alternated by a pump and a liquid temperature in the closed type water reservoir is decreased.</p> |
