<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately feedback-control a phase difference changing means by performing the correction of the phase difference when the phase difference to be generated between a crankshaft and a cam shaft caused by the manufacturing error is not accurately detected. SOLUTION: In a control unit 21 a crank angle sensor 11 and a cam position sensor 12 are connected to the input side, and an actuator 22 is connected to the output side. The control unit 21 reads the phase difference in a state where an eccentric mechanism has the operating amount on the minimum side as a first detected value, reads the phase difference in a state where it has the operating amount on the maximum side as a second detected value, and selects a characteristic map of the phase difference and the operating amount on the basis of the first and second detected values. The operating amount is calculated on the basis of the characteristic map, and the eccentric mechanism is operated by the actuator 22.</p> |
