<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate interruption of printing operation by providing means for comparing the print data size with the sheet size, means for correcting each bit data in a bit map data at a part protruding from a print sheet, when the sheet size is smaller than the print data size, into a white data. SOLUTION: Upon inquiry from a print control section 31, a mechanism control section 32 detects the sheet size by reading out a detection signal from a cassette size sensor 29 and delivers the detected sheet size to the print control section 31. The print control section 31 compares the sheet size with the print data size through a comparison means and indicates replacement of a sheet cassette 21 on an operation panel 15 when the sheet size is smaller. When the sheet cassette 21 is not replaced upon elapsing a set time, a command for printing on a print sheet 35 in the sheet cassette 21 is delivered to the mechanism control section 32 along with a print data size.</p> |
