PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of being rapidly absorbed to express a hypoglycemic action without being affected by foods by including a specific active ingredient and a low substituted hydroxypropylcellulose as a disintegrating agent. SOLUTION: This tablet composition comprises (A) N-(trans-4- isopropylcyclohexanecarbonyl)-D-phenylalanine of the formula and (B) a low substituted hydroxypropylcellullose. The ingredient B is preferably compounded in an amount of 5-40wt.%, and (C) a vehicle (e.g. lactose) and (D) hydroxypropylcellulose as a binder are preferably further compounded. The ingredient A and the components C and D are compounded e.g. in amounts of about 5-50%, 10-90% and 0.1-5%, respectively.
