SUBSTANCE: this relates to protective structures intended for ensuring security of people and animals being primarily inside premises or at other places during natural catastrophes such as earthquakes. Walls, door, roof and floor of shelter are arranged together to create three-dimensional mobile module of streamlined configuration primarily of ellipsoidal or ball-like shape. Shelter is located in premise or at other places where people are staying so that they can find protection in case of natural catastrophe such as earthquake. Shelter is provided with door, one or several ventilation holes, one or several peepholes. There is also device for braking displacement of shelter and/or limiting its displacement in space for example in the form of rope. Shelter can be provided with screening shield and/or its current-conducting and static charge accumulating parts are grounded. Procured in shelter are first-aid kit and other articles and appliances needed for saving people. Shelter can be made in the form of article of interior in premise and/or with possible transformation into it of other articles of interior such as folding divan, chair, etc. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 1 dwgr
