The equipment has a frame (9), the first section (1) of which supports the load on the underside, while the second section (2) prevents its movement in the lengthwise direction. A number of wheels (5) transport the load, and a lever mechanism (17) allows the first section to be swung upwards on a horizontal axis (6). Two arms (21) are positioned at the outside of the load. Seen from the loading end, the first section is beyond the centre of gravity, and generates a force in the upwards direction (15) when its forward end (12) is depressed. Supporting rollers (8) allow the load to move forward under gravity. The first section is at the end of the arms and inside and below them, so as to secure the load in the transverse direction.
