One and the same optical system is used for transmitting and receiving laser radiation and incorporates an optical device which diverts a part of the transmitter radiation as local oscillator signal for signal processing of the received radiation, a polarising radiation divider (3) which reflects the received radiation towards the detector (5) and a signal processing device which uses coherent detection of the reflected radiation. The optical device, which diverts a part of the transmitter radiation as local oscillator signal, comprises the radiation divider (3) and a partly reflecting surface (4) which in the transmission direction is placed after the radiation divider and reflects back a part of the transmission radiation towards the radiation divider (3), which in turn diverts this part towards the detector (5). |
