FIELD: plastic metal working, in particular, hot rolling of sheet steel on continuous mills. SUBSTANCE: method includes hot rolling of strips and their cooling in two stages at preset rates and temperatures as specified in the invention description. Method proposed improved quality of hot-rolled skelp 4-16 mm thick for welded pipes due to higher uniformity of main mechanical characteristics of steel over strips length sigma<SB>b</SB>,delta and KCV at different temperatures. EFFECT: improved quality of hot-rolled skelp; prolonged the service life of articles manufactured from the claimed steel. |
