This invention is an installation for liming and similar treatments to improve the water quality of a watercourse containing at least one silo-like storage container (1) for lime, etc. with at least one outfeed device (4, 4') that can be driven by at least one waterwheel (15) via a transmission mechanism (17, 23, 24-26) and in which there is a float-manoeuvred actuation device (18-20) that is designed to actuate said transmission mechanism (17, 23, 24-26) based on the water level of the watercourse (14) so that an increased water level leads to greater outfeed of lime etc. and vice versa via said outfeed device(s) (4, 4'). Such an installation must be protected from weather, wind, frost, damage, etc. Thus, the waterwheel (15) is situated in a closed chamber (6) with supply (10, 7) of water from the watercourse and a water outlet (8) and the float device (18, 19, 20) is situated in a closed, partially water-filled chamber (11) that is connected (12) to the watercourse to obtain and maintain the same water level (13) as in the watercourse (Fig. 1).<IMAGE> |
