摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly stick a layer contg. photocatalytic TiO2 particles to a plastic substrate at a low temp. by forming a cured primer layer from a compsn. contg. a tetraalkoxysilane and an alkyl silicate oligomer on the substrate and then forming the layer contg. the TiO2 particles on the primer layer. SOLUTION: A primer compsn. is prepd. by hydrolyzing a mixture of tetraalkoxysilane (e.g. teraethoxysilane) and an alkyl silicate (e.g. ethyl silicate) and adding a solvent to the resultant product. The compsn. is applied to the surface of a plastic substrate, e.g. by spray coating, and is heated to cross-link and cure by hydrolysis and condensation by dehydration, forming a cured primer layer. Then, a coating liq. contg. photocatalystic TiO2 particles and a hardly decomposable curable binder, such as a silicone obtd. by the hydrolysis and condensation by dehydration of a silane deriv. (e.g. trimethoxymethylsilane) is applied to the cured primer layer and thermally cured to form a layer contg. photocatalytic TiO2 particles in a thickness of 0.2μm or lower.
