The target consists of a panel (2) e.g. of wood, surrounded by a frame (4), also of wood, to give it rigidity, and held upright by a hinged support (5). The panel has a scene (3) painted or pasted on it and contains a number of cut-out and hinged figures (7) which are knocked over when struck by a thrown or fired missile, such as a ball or arrow. The figures' hinges can be equipped with magnets to hold them in the normally upright position.
