Locking mechanism with braked screw for fixed and moving components, usable in aircraft engines

The locking mechanism, especially for fixing a moving component to a fixed one, comprises a screw (3) with a threaded section (4) to engage with the fixed component (2) and a collar (10) which is pressed onto the moving component (1). It incorporates a locking assembly (13) which is able to move around and along the screw and is equipped with an immobilising element (14) on the collar as well as a pin (21) which extends to one side of the collar and is able to fit into an aperture (22) in the moving component when the collar is pressed against it. The locking assembly also has an indicator ring (13), while the immobilising element has a spring (12) which holds the ring against the collar (10). A pin (14) on the indexing ring engages with a cavity (15) in the collar, while the pin (21) is located in a locking ring (18).
