Door system for passenger aircraft

The door system has a carrying and turning device (10, 14) between the door panel (2) and the door frame (12), and a stroke movement device (18), which takes the door in a curved track to the fully closed position at the end of the closing movement transversely to the turning direction to engage with receiving elements (4) fixed to the door frame. At the beginning of the opening process, the stroke movement device moves the door out of engagement. It has a double drive (20) which controls the height setting of the door panel and at least one drive element (26, 30) acting at an angle to the door panel corresponding to its transverse motion.
