The invention relates to a device for constructing an edifice made of paneshaped or plate- like material, for example a glass enclosed weather protected construction, in which the panes and/or plates (21, 22) do not require framing, and the construction can be built at low cost. According to the invention, this is achieved by the presence of a support (2) that is fixed to a stay pipe (3) supporting at least panes (21, 22), whereby the stay pipe (3) has a groove for variable assembly of the support (2).
