Electronic switch for fast switching process

The electronic switch includes an opto-coupler (IC) whose light-emitting element (DE) is arranged in a control circuit of the switch, and whose photosensitive output element (TA) is a photo-diode or a bipolar photo-transistor. An output amplifier is provided by at least one bipolar transistor (T2), which is controlled by the photosensitive element, and which provides an output without reference to a ground potential. The photosensitive element is preferably a bipolar photo-transistor and the output amplifier consists of a single bipolar transistor, whereby the base-emitter paths of both transistors are inter-connected respectively via a resistance network (R5,R6), whose resistance values are adjusted so that the switching times of both transistors have approximately the same value.
