Method of manufacturing artificial lens

The method involves measuring the curve of the cornea at several points on the cornea (2) of an eye (1). The distances along the beam path of incident beam (5,6,7) between the cornea, the lens (3) and the retina (4) are measured. The refractive angle is calculated from the cornea curve for each point. The curve of each point on the lens surface (12,13) corresponding to a point (8,9,10) in the cornea is calculated such that beams incident on the cornea intersect at an intersection point (15). The calculated values are used to control a device (20) for manufacturing an artificial lens.
