AQUEOUS EMULSION CONTAINING FINE PARTICLES OF CROSS-LINKED ALLYLIC COPOLYMER

摘要

An aqueous emulsion containing fine particles of a cross-linked allylic copolymer prepared by emulsion-copolymerizing 10 to 40 wt.% of diallyl phthalate with 0.1 to 15 wt.% of a hydroxylated vinyl monomer, the remainder being an ester of acrylic acid with a monohydric alcohol having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, wherein the rate of polymerization of diallyl phthalate is 85 % or above and the mean diameter of the particles is 200 nm or below. This emulsion exhibits excellent film-forming properties.
