The rotary polisher consists of a head (2) with a holder (3) for the polishing agent. The holder has a mushroom-shaped, elastic polishing surface (4) for adapting to the surface of the workpiece (1). The rotational axis of the polishing head slants towards the forward thrust force (F) exerted onto the surface, and is connected to a gear (6) pre-tensioned against spring (7) force. The gear is connected to three separate rotary drives. The gear is connected by a pair of bevel gears (8,9), by a shaft (12), by a crown gear (11) and by a toothed belt (18) to the first rotary drive. The gear is connected by a housing (15) to a compensating weight (16) on a hollow shaft (13) mounted on the shaft, and by a crown gear (17) and toothed belt to the second rotary drive. The gear is connected by the housing, hollow shaft, eccentric hollow shaft (19), crown gear (20) and toothed belt (21) to the third rotary drive.
