<p>A hair coloring indicator (10) for determining a hair coloring composition to achieve a change in hair color. The indicator includes an inner cylinder (12) bearing photographs of natural and color value lifted hair (22). The inner cylinder (12) is surrounded by three coaxially positioned transparent coloring cylinders (70, 80, 90) pigmented with one of yellow (70), red (80) and blue (90) colors. The coloring cylinders are divided into portions (76s-76h, 86a-86h, 96a-96h) with varying degrees of pigmentation corresponding to the amount of pigment to be added to the hair coloring composition. The hair coloring composition is determined by viewing the photographs of hair simultaneously through each coloring cylinder and noting the level of lift and degree of pigmentation necessary to achieve the desired hair color.</p> |
