<p>The present invention is an improved composition suitable for use as a surgical suture material. The composition comprises the addition of a branched chain polyolefin wax to typical extrusion grade polypropylene suitable for surgical applications. The improved suture material enhances the suppleness, softness, fray resistance, knot retention and skin slipperiness of the suture material.</p> |
