Safety umbrella or sunshade designed as safety unit with illuminated stem and cover

The umbrella or sunshade is designed with a current source (2) in its handle (1), also a switch (3). A lamp (4) at one end of the handle illuminates the carrying stem (5), to which is attached a conventional umbrella mechanism (6). The cover (7) is made of a transparent material, so that it is illuminated along with the stem. The light source can extend across the entire carrying stem. A colour filter can be arranged giving radiation in different colours. A motor can be fitted in the handle, moving a colour filter disc, so that the colour of the umbrella can be continuously altered.
