Variable valve control for internal combustion engine

The variable valve control includes a coupling transmission to turn the induction valve camshafts the opposite way to each other, and a phase setter with a drive connection to the crank drive. The phase setter (15) and the coupling transmission (5) are at opposite ends of one of the induction valve camshafts (3). The drive for the phase setter is branched off from the engine exhaust valve camshaft. The drive wheel (6) of the coupling transmission is fixed to the induction valve camshaft which is driven by the phase setter.
