<p>The invention concerns a method for fractionating cereal straw, in particular wheat and barley which consists in contacting the straws with an aqueous basic solution, then subjecting the resulting mixture simultaneously to compression and shearing at a temperature ranging between 20 °C and 100 °C while injecting water, then pressing it for eliminating the excess water to obtain a matrix rich in cellulose fibres and a liquid phase rich in hemicellulose. The invention is applicable to the upgrading of straws.</p> |
