Treatment of dry toilet paper during manufacture involves a spraying (or similar) step to apply a special aroma with hygienic or cleansing properties, also improving the quality of the surrounding air. The materials applied are preferably (i) special volatile oils (especially those having aroma-therapeutic properties), (ii) medicinal materials, including homeopathic treatments, (iii) 'anthroposophic' materials (in accordance with the teachings of Rudolph Steiner) and/or (iv) fashionable perfumes.
