A depth stop 6 on a portable drilling machine or like machine tool having a detachable hand grip 3 is secured in position by the same means which secures the hand grip. As shown the hand grip 3 is secured to a cylindrical part of the tool body 1 by a two-part clamp 2a, 2b tightened by rotating the hand grip about its longitudinal axis. The depth stop 6 forms the hinge pin of the clamp and is secured in position as the clamp is tightened. In another embodiment the hand grip is screwed into the tool body and the depth stop is clamped between a pressure plate and the body as the hand grip is tightened. |
